Youth Profile of Depok Municipality 2024

Based on the results of the March 2024 Susenas (National Socioeconomic Survey) and the August 2024 Sakernas (National Labor Force Survey), the following characteristics of youth in Depok City in 2024 can be summarized:· One-quarter of Depok City’s population consists of youth aged 16–30 years, amounting to 25.76 percent.· From a demographic perspective, 42.67 percent of youth fall within the age range of 25–30 years. The gender composition is relatively balanced, and the majority of youth have never been married (78.30 percent ).· School Enrolment Rate (APS) among youth in Depok City stands at 32.50 percent , while the Mean Years of Schooling (RLS) is 12.47 years .· A total of 9.54 percent of youth in Depok City reported experiencing health complaints in the past month during the survey period, with 3–4 individuals reporting conditions that disrupted their daily activities.· Around 2.36 percent of youth in Depok City used tobacco products in the last month of the survey period.· Approximately 18.24 percent of youth in Depok City fall under the category of Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET) . The Unemployment Rate (TPT) for youth in Depok City is 14.18 percent , indicating that about 14 out of every 100 youth within the labor force are not absorbed into the labor market.
