Abstract

Poverty is a global issue that is prioritized both at the national and international levels. Poverty is also included in regional government targets, including Depok Municipality. Programs such as social assistance and economic empowerment are implemented to reduce poverty levels. The Statistics Agency (BPS) of Depok Municipality view the conditions of the poor in Depok Municipality to understand in detail the living conditions of the poor. This is very important to formulate appropriate and efficient policies. Complete data allows the government to target aid programs according to needs, so that efforts to improve welfare are more optimal. This publication presents data and information related to indicators of poverty and inequality, as well as an explanation of the profile of the poor population in Depok Municipality
